Explain key geological terms, definitions and theories relevant to the course (e.g. plate tectonics, volcanism, geothermal energy, critical raw materials)
Identify and classify common ore rock types and minerals in hand-specimen
Describe the basic principles of geological, geophysical and remote sensing methods applied to hazards, energy and raw materials
Interpret and use basic geological, geophyisical and remote sensing data
Design a multi-disciplinary analysis using multiple datasets to assess likelihoods of relevant events (e.g. occurrence of hazards or mineralization)
Describe geological processes affecting 1) availability of selected natural resources and 2) selected natural hazards
Examine how Earth science, natural hazards and resource availability relate to current societal issues and the energy transistion
